Profile

Seanne Wilkins is an occupational therapist with graduate education in community health and social gerontology. She is currently an Associate Professor in the School of Rehabilitation Science.

Her teaching in the rehabilitation science program focuses on qualitative analysis and in the occupational therapy program focuses on aging and health as well as adult physical health.

The focus of Seanne’s ongoing projects includes: aging, chronic illness and self-concept in a group of older women with osteoporosis; evaluation of home care versus hospital care in people with post-acute stroke; community participation among women living with HIV/AIDS and social participation among older adults living with HIV/AIDS.

Research Specialty

Seanne's research interests include aging, chronic illness, disability and women's health; community health; occupational therapy services; and qualitative research methods.

Fun Fact
