The MSc (OT) Program supports The Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists (CAOT) definition and philosophy of fieldwork education and approval guidelines for fieldwork content.
“Fieldwork education is an essential component of an occupational therapist’s professional education program. It is a collaborative process that involves a variety of supervised field experiences related to the practice of occupational therapy. The aim is the integration of theory to practice of the three learning domains - knowledge, skills, attitudes, as well as the development of clinical reasoning skills and professional identity.” (University Fieldwork Coordinator Meeting June, 1991)
