Accreditation and Regulation of Practice

Accreditation

The MSc (PT) is accredited by the Accreditation Council of Canadian Physiotherapy Academic
Programs (ACCPAP).

Regulation of Practice

All physiotherapists in Canada must be registered with the appropriate provincial regulatory body in order to practice in that province.

Each regulatory body has a separate and distinct registration process, however, in all circumstances, a degree in physiotherapy is required.

In Ontario, successful completion of the Physiotherapy Competency Examination (PCE) is also required.

Please Note: By 2010, all physiotherapy programs in Canada will be at the master's level.

Student Evaluation
Academic accreditation serves to maintain consistent national standards, ensures quality professional education, and supports the growth and development of educational programs and the profession.
